Speaking on the occasion, Mostafa Kamal emphasized that MGI’s economic zones are built to international standards and are fully prepared for immediate industrial operations. He added that the company provides comprehensive one-stop services to ensure efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business for foreign investors.

The visit comes at a time when foreign investor confidence is showing signs of recovery following the establishment of Bangladesh’s new democratic government. Stakeholders say the improved political environment, coupled with investor-friendly policies, is restoring optimism among international businesses considering expansion into the country.

MGI currently operates three private economic zones open to investors: Meghna Economic Zone, Meghna Industrial Economic Zone, and Cumilla Economic Zone. Since their inception, companies from countries including the United States, Australia, Germany, Japan, Norway, India, China, Switzerland, and Belgium have set up manufacturing facilities in these zones.

Industry observers believe such diplomatic engagements and site visits will play a key role in boosting foreign direct investment and strengthening Bangladesh’s position as a competitive manufacturing hub in the region.
