The upcoming white-ball series between Afghanistan national cricket team and Sri Lanka national cricket team in the United Arab Emirates has been postponed due to escalating regional instability affecting travel.

The tour, scheduled from March 13 to 25 with three T20s in Sharjah and three ODIs in Dubai, was disrupted by flight cancellations and security concerns following US and Israeli strikes on Iran.

Afghanistan Cricket Board chief executive Naseeb Khan confirmed the postponement, adding that shifting the series to Sri Lanka was not feasible due to limited flights and tight logistics.

According to News 24, arranging stadiums, security, hotels, and broadcast production on short notice also proved impossible. Both boards will wait for a safer window to reschedule.
