Bangladesh’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Tareq Ahmed, said there is no visa ban on Bangladeshi citizens in the UAE, reports Dhaka Tribune .

His statement came after a website, uaevisaonline.com, claimed that nine countries, including Bangladesh, were facing a visa ban. The ambassador explained that the site is only a private visa service and has no official authority. He added that the information could be “malicious.”
However, since September 2024, Bangladeshis have faced problems getting visas from the UAE, even though the government never announced an official ban. In February, Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus asked the UAE to lift the restriction during the World Governments Summit in Dubai.
