Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), the national university of Malaysia, has awarded an honorary doctorate to Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus in recognition of his outstanding contributions to promoting social entrepreneurship.
The honour was conferred by the university’s chancellor at a ceremony held Wednesday at the UKM auditorium, reports BSS. Upon his arrival, Professor Yunus was warmly received by the chancellor.
Following the award presentation, the Nobel laureate delivered a commemorative lecture to students, sharing insights from his decades-long work in social business.
The event was attended by prominent Malaysian academics, policymakers, university faculty members, students, and members of the Chief Adviser’s delegation.
