Today, 70 more Bangladeshi citizens arrived home from conflict-stricken Lebanon, marking the latest phase in the repatriation effort. Officials from the government and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) welcomed the returnees upon their arrival on an Emirates Airlines flight.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a total of 338 Bangladeshis have now returned from Lebanon. Each returnee received Tk5,000 in cash, food supplies, and basic medical assistance upon arrival.
The ministry confirmed ongoing support for citizens affected by the situation in Lebanon, pledging full assistance to those wishing to return while ensuring security for those opting to stay.
